There are many parts of everything that we have covered thus far that are just as advanced as the topics that are going to be covered in this GMAT advanced section. However, on the whole the contents of the following sections tend to show up more frequently in the higher level questions. Not to say that you cannot get an easy question from the following topics; it is just less likely. It is the variations of these topics that make them difficult

Even if you are not aiming for 760+, this is still a section that you want to cover. Yes, you should probably spend a greater proportion of your time on the other sections, but you do not want to simply avoid this section. Honestly, you will find that with a little bit of studying these sections are pretty easy to understand.

Factorial: The product of all integers less than and equal to the number. In other words, 5 factorial, denoted 5!, is equal to 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 or 120.

GMAT Permutations and Combinations

GMAT permutations and combinations tend to scare people a bit.  The fact of the matter is that you can learn to do this problems in a very repeatable manner.  Get the fundamentals down here.

GMAT Probability

GMAT probability is one of the scariest sections form many.  The reason is that each problem is just a little bit different and there are not straight forward rules that apply to each problem.  See what information you will be required to know...

GMAT Functions

GMAT functions do not tend to be very difficult problems, but for some reason the notations can cause problems for hopeful prepsters.  Get the notation down and everything will become much easier.

GMAT Symbolism

This is similar to the previous section.  GMAT Symbolism problems challenge people only because of the notations.  With an understanding of how to translate the information, you will be able to conquer this section.
