Symbolism tends to be ominous only because of people’s lack of confidence. When an unfamiliar symbol is thrown into the mix, people think that they missed something along the way. The key point here is that when you see a symbol it has no meaning outside the context of the question in which it was given. You will see something like this:
All you need to do is act in a similar fashion to the function problems we just discussed and plug the 4 in where the x was and the 3 where the y was. Nothing more.
