GMAT functions are really just fancy ways to write out equations. There is no reason for you to be scared of this question type (I know I sound like a broken record on this, but it is true). Functions look like this: f(x)= x+1 This pronounced ‘f of x equals x plus 1.‘ Really, you can think of the f(x) portion of this as you would the variable y in a linear equation.
